Ly-Hoang, K., Sun, V. Y., & Ulanoff, S. H. (2022). Using TPACK and T3 lenses to promote and support science online learning experiences in early childhood. In F. S. Allaire & J. E. Killham (Eds.), Teaching and learning online: Science for elementary grade levels (pp. 69-92). Information Age Publishing.

Abstract:

“The use of TPACK and T3 frameworks in early childhood education has the potential to transform young children’s learning environments. Research suggests that a student-centered approach with educational technology (edtech) optimizes the potential for student learning and creating, thus edtech tools are a necessary and viable means to revolutionize education, whether online or in person. Using edtech to augment learning experiences and enhance the ability to demonstrate scientific literacy is essential for supporting long-term student academic progress. Two physical science lessons integrating the two frameworks are demonstrated with lesson plans and resources provided for replication.”
